Credit for parts of the coloring goes to marys_angel@livejournal. She offered a PSD file recently. I`ve made some minor changes, to make the PSD setting fit my animation caps, and added the coloring on top of the colorchange I already made for the caps.
Sometimes I play (some more) with the color/layer settings, this is what I got:
the first ani is the original, the 2nd is what I got after messing with the settings
