aka: Supernatural 8.20 coloring tutorial

Done with PaintShopPro9 (translatable)
It`s quick and dirty *cough* easy
I`m lazy, I prefer it easy
For the colors I`ve used the same base coloring, with some variations for the different scenes.
BASE COLORING:
1. Copy Base - Filter - sharpen - unsharpen mask
radius: 10.00
strenght: 17
difference: 3
2. Copy Base - layer setting screen - 100% (placed above the sharpened layer)
3. New Adjustment Layer - Color Balance - layer setting soft light 100%
midtone: 29 /1 / 0
4. Layer - new fill layer - fill with #000000 - layer setting color 100%
(this is easy done black&white)
5. copy all layer - paste as new layer on top - layer setting soft light
(the next step is a happy accident, because the black&white was a try, but it looked like s***)
6. Delet the black fill layer
7. New adjustment layer - levels - RGB 30 / 255
(the level layer is something I tend to do a lot. It`s either this, or a screened texture on top of all layer.
I, can“t help myself)
8. merge all layer = done
VAR. 1
ALL steps are the same as the base
except:
- step 2 - duplicate the screen layer - layer setting 100%
This is only done to brighten the image some more
(you could also use curves to brighten the image, I prefer a screen layer most of the time)
merge layer = done
VAR. 2
ALL steps are the same as the base
except:
- step 3 - duplicate the color balance layer - place the new layer underneath the levels layer - layer setting multiply 50%
merge layer = done
VAR. 3
ALL steps are the same as the base
except:
- step 2 - duplicate the screen layer - layer setting 100%
This is only done to brighten the image some more
- step 3 - the color balance layer
midtone: 29 / 1 / 0
shadow: 14 / -15 / -14
highlights: 11 / -15 / -14
- go to the 2nd screen layer
- apply adjustments to the screen layer - automatic colorbalance
setting:
strenght: 30
temperature: 5000
merge layer = done
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The last variation can be used on several scenes
example:

AFTER

aaaaand, I`m done. Everything is as clear as mud? awesome
